Don’t want to spend a small fortune on gym memberships or equipment you will never use? Fitness apps could be the way forward to you to fit exercise into your routine. IF you are the kind of person who is attached to their phone all day, why not to use it to further your workouts and exercise in the way you want.

Freeletics Bodyweight

Available on: iTunes and Google Play

The free version of this app includes equipment-free based workouts to a fixed time. Single training mode will allow you to set your target goal of reps, making the task of exercise more doable. You can choose between strength-building or high-intensity interval training, which can last between five to 30 minutes. Perfect if you have a very busy schedule.

Nike + Run Club

Available on: iTunes and Google Play

Don’t want to be stuck indoors in the four walls of your house? This app will help especially if you want to hit a new personal goal. You can customise the distance you aim to run such as 5k, 10k,15k, half-marathon or full marathon, but, of course you can’t run a marathon in a day. The app takes into account training plans based on your running pace, how often you run and how far you can run. Then, based on your progress, the app will adapt your training so you can still reach your running goal.

If running is not your thing, you can always opt for this app instead. This app contains fast-paced workouts with body-weight training and circuit training. If you don’t want to refer to a video for a workout, the workout will display a list of exercises for you to follow. If you don’t feel up for an intense workout, Nike Training Club also has yoga for when you need time to breathe.

Pilates – home fitness

This fun, easy-to-follow workout is well-balanced and works out every part of your body. Choose which difficulty suits you and you can select exercises you wish to include or exclude especially if you are short on time. Don’t worry if it’s your first time with Pilates, as the app provides diagrams and detailed explanations to ensure you don’t get confused.

30 Day Fitness Challenge

Available on: Google Play

This app gives achievable goals and requires only a small amount each day. You can choose the difficulty to ensure you don't overwork yourself. There are different workouts if you want to do a full body workout, simple abs or leg workouts to choose from.
