Victorinox Swiss Army has apparently teamed up with GlassesUSA to create possibly one of the world's weirdest glasses! The Survival RX glasses are there to supposedly help you in your everyday lives and adventures.

This glasses are kitted out with a components including a screwdriver, bottle opener, scissors and a toothpick. All of these can be removed from the frames, with the items being made from carbon fibre reinforced plastics.

But is this a little bit too much for a pair of glasses?

Most people know that a Swiss Army knife is a multifunctional tool with multiple accessories that can be used for common tasks, featuring a screwdriver, can opener, scissors and more. This is the sort of thing which is ideal for a traveller or camper to use for their travels or in case of emergency.

However, the glasses were the idea of a Victorinox Swiss Army employee who needed an bottle opener on the day of his wedding.

As convenient as it would be to open a bottle of wine, the danger of having corkscrews and scissors near my eyes makes me a little bit terrified, especially, if the compartments were too malfunction in any way. However, if you were in an emergency this glasses could prove useful in the most unlikely of situations.

Also, would the carbon fibre tools prove strong enough to be used on a regular basis?

As stylishly practical as the entire idea sounds, it all sounds like a wonderful novelty!

With the launch date of April 1st, there is the question of is it all an April's fool joke! If not, there are only 1000 glasses being made with the start of the retail price being at £99 ($129).

You can learn more about the glasses on GlassesUSA.
