Why Louis Vuitton Earbuds Shouldn't Even Launch

Louis Vuitton. A name which is now synonymous with flex culture. Along with brands like Supreme, Luis Vuitton has exploded into the public limelight in recent years. And they’re back at it again, this time to flex on anyone who thought Apple’s AirPods just weren’t enough.

For a mere $995 you will be able to get yourself a pair of Louis Vuitton wireless earbuds made with Master & Dynamic. But here’s the kicker, Master & Dynamic already offer their range of wireless earbuds, for a huge discount. For $299 you can get a pair of Master & Dynamic’s MW07 wireless earbuds, that’s almost $700 less than the Louis Vuitton branded pair.

So what other options are out there to those looking for a pair of wireless earbuds? Well of course there are Apple’s AirPods. The internet is flooded with memes and jokes about these earbuds, but at the end of the day they’re nowhere near as expensive as some others on the market. Retailing at £159 directly from Apple, the AirPods offer a truly wireless listening experience (unless you count charging their case) combined with Apple’s signature design.

Staying with the wireless theme, there are a few options from market leaders like Bose and Sennheiser. From Bose, you can pick up a pair of their SoundSport Free wireless earbuds for £179.99 directly from Bose. Or, for those looking for a real sound experience, there’s Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM True Wireless for £279.99.

An honourable mention has to go to Optoma’s NuForce BE Sport4 earphones. Whilst they don’t offer the truly wireless experience, these earphones have amazing sound quality and they only cost £89.99. Optoma may be best known for their projectors, but if these earphones are anything to go by then they could be a real contender in the audio business.

So should you buy the Louis Vuitton earbuds? No, no you shouldn’t. Personally, I’m tired of the overly inflated prices these brands are putting on things at the moment. Flex culture is poison, it does nothing but alienate people and shame those with less disposable income, the sooner it’s in the past, the better.
