One of the latest comedy shows to land on Netflix, Great News, has had a bit of a rough life.
The show was cancelled by NBC in May this year after it failed to hit the spot for most critics, scoring a 6.9 on IMDB and a 6.4% on TV.com.
Viewers, however, appear to love the show! It has an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and 94% of Google Users say they liked the show.
But how did Mix-Up rate it?

The show focuses on the work life of Katie Wendelson, a segment producer at cable TV news show, The Breakdown. Katie's mum, Carol, gets an internship at the office and we're gifted with 23 glorious episodes showing the team's dynamic relationships.
The show does have a few tropes that are getting a little old, there's a stereotypical young British man who is set-up as Katie's love interest fairly early on in the show, Carol is shown as a bit of a helicopter parent, and there's also a ditzy blonde co-anchor to deal with.
However, the characters and the way they all interact gives off quite a charming feel. Each character has a fair amount of development through the show's two series, and it has an appropriate pacing to each episode.
Overall, there are some quite funny jokes and the characters are quite fun to watch. It's easy to pick a favourite, but it's much harder to find someone to hate once you've watched through it all, everyone has a vulnerable moment at some point which helps make them all a little more lovable.
Thoughts: Easy to watch, interesting characters, general good fun.
Rating: ★★★★
